These are my explorations into digital and film photography. Of the thousands of photos I've taken over the years, these I believe are my best compositions. Some of these photos were used in school projects, some from work projects, and the others are from personal experiences.
2006 - present
These photos were taken to be used in a school project where the assignment was to create postcards for a theatre production. The goal was to use paper to create interesting and dramatic sculptures.
I took these photos on a personal trip to an abandoned mine called Empire Mine in Colfax, CA.
These were taken for a school project to convey the emotions of want, need, hope, and despair through photography. Each uses a high shutter speed to freeze motion, they were also altered in photoshop to further convey their themes by removing color and blurring certain elements.
Before I could afford a digital camera I had an old Olympus 35mm SLR, actually I think I still have it somewhere in storage. This camera excelled at taking black and white photos. Although they were shot on film, I had to digitally scan the prints, hopefully the detail is still shows through.
I took these photos during a cross country road trip that ended in Washington D.C. The first picture was taken near the Lincoln Memorial, the second was at the Kennedy Memorial in Dallas, TX, and the third was at the Air & Space Museum in D.C.
