Sacramento State University 2009 Spring Show Poster
As designers, the tools we use help us visualize and solidify the ideas in our heads. When it came time to advertise the culmination of our design education at the 2009 Spring Show at Sacramento State, I choose to use several illustrations of those tools to convey my idea that our lives are made up of the tools we use.

Final Poster
The final poster was a result of countless revisions to the original concept. I created dozens of small vector images of different tools and duplicated them across the large poster many times over. I distressed the poster's background with several layers of textures and image effects. I choose the font Impact for the word because it could easily stand out even when made up of hundreds of small pictograms.
Poster Concepts
My initial idea was to use images of the tools that designers use in order to inform others of what we do. The idea is that from far away one would see the word 'image' and as the person moved closer they would realize the word was made up of smaller images; a play on the word.
